Many people meet their significant other online, but online dating is n’t the only way to find love. A majority of couples ( 39 % ) say they met in traditional ways, such as through friends or at work. And a smaller percentage ( 2 % ) found each other at a bar, event or restaurant.

In the past season, about three in ten individuals say they’ve used an online dating site or software. But the reveal of those who have done therefore varies by time and earnings. Adults who are never married and those with college degrees are more likely to have tried dating sites or apps than those who do n’t have a bachelor’s or higher degree. Individuals with lower incomes are also more likely to apply dating apps than those with higher revenues.

While most people say they’ve been on at least one first date that did n’t go well, only 16 % have never had a bad one. According to this review, first dates that do n’t close properly are often the consequence of a few common mistakes. These include being too frightened, spending too much time on a smartphone, drinking too much and making to many gags.

It may not come as a surprise that most people agree that a primary date really involve eating. In reality, about half of those surveyed say it’s the most important thing on a meeting. But where to go and what to order are up for debate. For example, 70 % of those 60 and older enjoy taking their deadline out to consume, while solely 60 % of individuals ages 18 to 29 agree with this choice.
