To enter the competition, complete the Entry Form 11:59 p.m., November 1, 2025.
Sponsored by the Missouri Music Educators Association, with generous prize support in previous years from Romeo Music, Nottelmann Music, and Sweetwater, the MMEA Electronic Music Composition Contest recognizes outstanding compositions and highlights the effectiveness of music technology in and beyond the school music curriculum in the state of Missouri.
General Contest Information
- ALL students with electronic music composition experience, using ANY available software, are encouraged to submit entries.
- $10 entry fee.
- Compositions can be all electronic, or a combination of acoustic instruments and electronically generated sounds.
- Students must be sponsored by a teacher who is an Active Member of NAfME/MMEA.
- Deadline for submissions: November 1, 2025 – 11:59 p.m.
- Winners will be notified in December and will be invited to be recognized at the MMEA In-Service Workshop/Conference.
- The Award Ceremony will take place on January 30, 2026, 11:00am in the Nautical Wheeler Room at Tan-Tar-A Conference Center (Margaritaville), Lake of the Ozarks, Osage Beach, MO.
