Looking for a perfect way to recognize an influential teacher or mentor?

The MMEA Legacy Scholarship program provides the opportunity for members to name a scholarship in honor of someone who has influenced their teaching and musical career to support a new teacher’s attendance at our annual in-service workshop/conference.

A scholarship of $500 allows for a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year teacher, new to Missouri teacher, or a teacher who has never been to the conference to attend the in-service/workshop and conference.

DONORS: If you, or a group of your friends, would like to provide an MMEA Legacy Scholarship, complete the donor form below and submit payment by credit card or by check.

MMEA Legacy Scholarship Application

Application Information
MMEA endeavors to support the membership in every way possible.  The Legacy Scholarship Program started in 2022 with the intent of removing part of the financial barrier for conference attendance.  In addition, the program seeks to honor the legacies of influential persons of the Missouri Music Educator Association and beyond.  We believe that MMEA’s annual In-Service Workshop/Conference is the most impactful professional development for music educators in our state.  Please be thorough in your application to ensure that the scholarship committee has all the necessary information to appropriately honor the Legacies that the donors have provided.  
 
Deadline:  Legacy Scholarship 
Applications are due by December 1, 2025.
