MMEA Advisory Council: All-State Children’s Choir Chair | 2022-2024

MMEA Advisory Council Members are appointed by the MMEA President and serve two-year terms.  

*MMEA Advisory Council Members serve as non-voting members on the MMEA Board of Directors.

The MMEA All-State Children’s Choir Chair is responsible for the following duties, each year during their two-year term:

      Position Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all operations regarding the MMEA All-State Children’s Choir.
• Attend MMEA Board of Director Meetings (April, August).

• Hire and contract the All-State Children’s Choir Conductor.
• Hire and contact the accompanist/s, as needed.
• Promote the choir in multiple forms of communication.
• Secure the judging panel for auditions.
• Receive and approve the repertoire list from the conductor and accompanist hired.
• Complete lodging requests for the conductor and accompanist/s.
• Coordinate all audition operations.
• Coordinate all pre-event details.
• Coordinate/oversee all event day operations.
• Provide a post-event evaluation and financial summary.
