This session facilitated by NAfME-C Chapter Presidents will focus on avoiding burnout, developing sustainable practice habits, and strategies to promote positive mental health as a music major.

Round Table Discussion “Let’s Collaborate! Making the Most Out of Collegiate Colleagues”
This session facilitated by NAfME-C Chapter Presidents will allow for collegiate members to network with each other, brainstorm ways to leverage these opportunities, and develop new avenues for future collaboration between chapters across Missouri both at the institution and state levels.

After nearly forty years serving as an elementary teacher, principal, and superintendent, Sen. Karla Eslinger is now serving in the Missouri Senate. She will present tips and tricks to help young teachers effectively communicate with educational stakeholders.

“Creating a Welcoming Space for All Students in the Elementary and General Music Classroom”
Presenter: Dr. Dorothy Glick Maglione & Bob Cagle
In this session, the benefit of supporting diversity will be outlined as a means to better reach marginalized students and aid students of color, LGBTQ+ students, and female students. We will move, sing, play, and dance our way through several learning experiences teachers can incorporate to include marginalized voices within the classroom.
